D-2 비자를 소지한 국제학생은 입국일(최초 입국 시 외국인등록일)로 국민건강보험에 당연가입됩니다. 국민건강보험에는 자동 가입되며, 매월 보험료를 연체하지 않고 납부해야 합니다.

2. 국제학생 단체보험

학부과정 국제학생들을 위해 유학생 단체보험을 가입하고 있습니다. 이 보험은 국민건강보험에서 보장되지 않는 부분을 보완하며 상해 또는 질병으로 인한 입원·통원 치료 시 일부 의료비를 보상합니다. 단, 국민건강보험료를 연체하지 않고 납부한 경우에만 단체보험에 대한 보장을 받을 수 있습니다.

1. National Health Insurance (NHI)

International students holding a D-2 visa are automatically enrolled in Korea’s National Health Insurance (NHI) starting from their date of entry into Korea (or the date of foreigner registration for first-time entrants). Enrollment is mandatory, and students must pay the monthly insurance premium on time without delay.

2. International Student Group Insurance

 

Sogang Universtiy provides a group insruance plan for undergraduate internaitonal students. This insurance supplements coverage not included in the National Health Insurance and partially reimburses medical expenses incurred from accidents or illnesses, including inpatient and outpatient treatment. However, please note that group insurance benefits are available only if National Health Insurance premiums are paid without overdue balances.
